"Neurosurgery at Leeds General Infirmary"

About: Leeds General Infirmary / Neurosurgery

(as the patient),

I had a craniotomy for removal of a posterior fossa meningioma. To say I was scared about this operation is an understatement and having fortunately never spent time in hospital as an inpatient I was very apprehensive.

However, once admitted I felt in very safe hands, Mr Deniz, his neuro team and the anaesthetists gave me such confidence, they explained fully the operation the risks, answered my questions and gave me reassurance, I’m very impressed with their expertise and I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received.

Thank you to Mr Deniz and the neurosurgery team, thanks to you I’m now recovering well, you’re amazing and a credit to the Hospital.

I received post-operative care on HDU and L24 from very professional staff. A special thanks to Dez and Lyndsey on HDU who were wonderful. The care I received was fantastic and the nursing staff helped to reduce my anxieties.

Thank you so much. With gratitude.
