I was being treated for spondolitius, which turned out to be Giant Cell Arthuritus which is quite a rare complaint, I lost my sight in one eye just like that. I went to A&E at my local hospital and the treatment I got from them immediately was second to none. I cannot praise the doctors and nurses enough, they saved my other eye. I know that this is a very rare complaint and about 2000 people a year go blind with it. I also know that I will possibly be on steroids for quite a while, but who cares if I can still see out my other eye.
