"Nurse was kind during my colonoscopy"

In February 2009 I attended the gastroenterology department at UCH for a colonoscopy appointment. It was conveniently arranged. The ward area was clean and nice and was running on time. The best bit was the exceptionally nice nurse who was reassuring and kind during the procedure. This was important to me especially given I did not want sedatives. The doctor was fine and the recovery area was clean and people friendly. The worse bit was waiting for my results. They arrived with my notes but for another hospital department with no record that I had had the colonoscopy! They had me down as a “new patient”.
