"removal of muscle tumour on tongue."

From the start from getting the refreral to an appointment at the hospital was quite a long wait and the lump was getting bigger each week. Appointment came and was seen by the lovely doctor in the clinic. Had lump removed under local anethestic and they were brilliant as i was so nervous and frightened. They reassured me and explained what they were going to do. After 2 weeks i had to go for a check up. The doctor I saw wasn't really nice, he just came out with the lump was a tumour, thankfully a lovely nurse tended to me and tried to calm me down. The doctor tried to phone another doctor to come and explain something that he couldnt understand. Following week I seen a different doctor and he was so lovely couldnt do enough for me. He explained that yes it was a tumour but not cancerous. I felt a wait of my mind. I was given a note to come and have more pieces of tongue removed under general. Post op assesstment was good, nurses lovely and didnt wait long. Morning of surgery I was treated lovely, explained everything what was going on. After coming round I was taken up to a ward. Was in a lot of pain but they did try to get it under control. Was kept in overnight due to high temp and was in pain. follow up clinic I was seen by a lovely doctor. Such a lovely caring doctor. Tongue has healed up nicely but no feeling in it at the moment. Will take a while for it to get feelings. Today been discharged from the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery but still have to see the doctor in another Clinic.
