My name is Gary Thorn. I was on ward CTW for about 2 weeks waiting for a operation on my ribs to have some metal strips put in and I was really impressed with the ward and how clean it was. I was impressed with the staff and how friendly they were and made me comfortable and at ease. There was one nurse who made me laugh and made me at ease, even when it came to the day of my operation. The porters took me down and the nurse came down with me, and reassured me all the way to theatre that every thing would be OK. When I woke up the same nurse was in recovery room waiting to take me back to my ward. The care and attention I got from all the staff was unbelievable. They made sure I was comfortable and pain free, and came in from time to time to see if I wanted anything like tea coffee etc. They made sure my meds was taken on time my bed was changed every day and done my exercise walk around the ward. I would be grateful if you can pass on this to all the staff on ward CTW level 2. Thank you. Gary thorn
