"Millbrook Parking"

About: King's Mill Hospital

We had to attend Millbrook for an outpatients appointment with my son who is confined to a wheelchair. There is NO provision in this car park for wheelchair users. Having parked (with difficulty) we unloaded my son and found that there is no way of getting the wheelchair out of the car park - we were faced with a steep kerbstone or a barrier at the entrance/exit. We were fortunate that a member of staff was about to leave and kindly raised the barrier for us. I understand from the reception staff that this matter has been raised by them but nothing gets done. I was also made aware whilst waiting that the car park is used by patients who are not attending Millbrook - with such a small car park this also needs addressing. Not a pleasant experience!
