(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

We are carers of our eldest son who was diagnose with schizophrenia fifteen years ago. Previous to this he was ill for approximately 10 years. Nobody took any notice until nearly to late. I will not write an essay but we could not cope without Broomhill and the carers group we both would have been ill! ! who would look after us would be a drain on the NHS.

It was good to read your post re Broomhill Carers group. It would be great to link up with your group to share carer experences. I am posting on belhalf of the Highbury Carers group. We meet on the last Wednesday of each month at 2pm at Highbury Hospital. You would be very welcome.
