"A&E visit"

Visited A&E with suspicious but very mild chest pain. Received and ECG within 10 minutes of walking in the door. In the space of the next two hours, I received three more ECGs, one blood test, had bood pressure taken five times, while being hooked up to cardiac monitor. Although the symptoms were minor, all staff were extremely keen to make every investigation to ensure the cause was a cardiac incident. One often reads stories of NHS care being superficial at best. But in my case, nothing could have been further from the trutn. I am indebted to the medical staff who took care of me and was deeply impressed by their professionalism.
