As a patient with kidney failure and receiving treatment on dialysis machine, I find it difficult to receive treatment in Blackpool my home town, as there are no facilities available. Two years ago the Devonshire Road Hospital used to treat patients with kidney failure, then it closed and now many patients need to go all the way to Preston. A lot of money has been spent and new venues have been built, but no money spent on a unit for patients with kidney failure. The treatment I get at Preston is excellent. The care given by doctors and nurse is very good.
