In the last 3 years I have been treated for Breast cancer at Derriford Hospital Plymouth. My treatment and care has been brilliant. But in the last year I have had problems with breathing due to my treatment of chemo and radiotherapy. This is where the paramedics have been my saving grace. I have stopped breathing on a number of occasions, and they have been able to support and treat me either at home or delivering me to the resuscitation area at hospital.
When I have felt I can stay at home the have been so supportive, telling me to ring at any time not to stop and think just ring. Making me feel so safe in my own home, with support at the end of a phone. Last visit was by Ali and Richard who are based in Bodmin. Really nice helpful friendly and supportive team. Thank you to all of you that help me. I am so grateful. And the young student paramedic that saved my life.
