"My father who is 88 years old was sent home at 5am"

My father 88 years old was admitted 2 nights ago and was sent home via Ambulance with no care plan in place, he was put in his armchair and he later put himself to bed, bearing in mind he has a balance problem and could have fallen. I am abroad at the moment (his daughter, one son in Cornwall and one in Australia, luckily my other brother and sister in law were in the uk, and local, my sister in law had to go and get him out of bed and shower him, dress him and give him his breakfast until a private carer came in. Why was my father sent home without the knowledge of his carers coming in. He is now back in hospital Leicester General to hopefully sort out his problems, I wonder why was he sent home without getting to the bottom of his problem, surely this cost more money to the NHS to keep re admitting people than to sort out the problems before letting them go home. 88 and sent home at 5am Disgusting.
