I brought my father in on 21st to A and E by ambulance. I was in the waiting room for 7 hours as I didn't want to leave my mother without support. During the evening a male nurse called a young patient into the triage room. After the assessment he walked the patient out into the waiting room where he began to discuss the patients existing methadone programme. My partner and I were astounded that something as sensitive as this could be discussed within hearing shot of us despite being in the back row seating. I have no doubt that the staff were extremely busy and working hard but I believe that this was embarrassing for us but more so the patient.
"lack of dignity for another patient"
