I have been diagnosed with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (formerly known as Borderline Personality Disorder) and the main and most effective treatment for this is Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), however this therapy seems unavailable within Derby.
After being diagnosed by a psychiatrist, I was simply told to self-refer to 'Talking Mental Health Derby', a team that specialise in general counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - a team that I do not feel are suitable to deal with personality disorders, and left with no further help or support.
"Required Treatment is Unavailable"
