"nobody was listening - 5GPs and now A&E"

About: East Surrey Hospital

I suffered so badly from whooping cough whilst I was pregnant. After 5 GP appointments (3 or 4 different GPs) but none of them listened when I told them that I have all the symptoms for whooping cough listed on the NHS webpage. One even laughed at me. Finally I ended up at A&E was seen by another Doctor from my surgery who was on duty there, but again, as I was not taken serious I "stranded" at the delivery suit after a night in A&E just because I was pregnant! The last place I should have been!! Discharged the same evening I have it in writing the Gynecologist jotted down on my maternity papers: "explained to Mrs... she has no whooping cough " after I insisted to be checked but she appeared quite rude and told me I block a bed and have to go. Panic attacks were mentioned too as I told them I cant breathe after coughing attacks. 10 days later I was diagnosed with whooping cough! In the night in A&E the swapped my blood test results so I was told I will get a blood transfusion due to low HB around 7 but as I could tell it had been checked just days before with around 10 , they looked into it and realized these were someone else results. The midwifes and nurses at delivery suit were very nice. one of the midwifes witnessed one of those coughs when I could not breath at the end and she was very concerned but her shift had finished once the Gynecologist showed up./ my witness had gone. I got a questionnaire after I had been in Redhill East Surrey later on and I mentioned all this but have never got a reply.
