"follow up appointment"

About: Princess Royal Hospital (Haywards Heath)

Although I have no complaints about the treatment I received when have a THR I have just discovered that a 6 week follow up appointment should have been sorted out by me before I left the hospital. At no time was this mentioned or written about in any of the literature I was given. I was just told that the appointment would be in 6 weeks time. I only discoverd this when I phoned after just over 5 weeks to find out why I hadn't received a letter with the appointment date. I feel that this is something that needs to be addressed when discharging patients. I will probably have to wait a lot more than 6 weeks now to get an appointment which also impacts on how soon I can have a date for my second THR.
