"Thank you wonderful Wansbeck"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

I have had 2 major orthopaedic operations in the last 4 months and I cannot speak highly enough of the care I have received both in ward 6 in July and Ward 7 in September. Everyone was excellent from the ladies serving the tea, big thank you for the complimentary trolly service in the afternoon - right through to the consultant Surgeons. The patience, kindness and professionalism I experienced was incredible. You hear of dirty wards, nasty food and poor nursing. My experience was so different. Food was particularly good, lots of choice and served attractivly and promptly. If you miss a meal they even give you a picnic! Thank you so much, what a blessing to live in the North East and be in your catchment area, I am so grateful.

Dear Gabsie, What a wonderful review of the care and treatment you received from both teams on ward 6 and 7 at Wansbeck Hospital. Two major ops in just four months is an awful lot for anyone to go through, and so I am really pleased that you experienced such excellent care on both occasions delivered by kind, professional and competent staff. At Northumbria, it is exactly this level of consistency around safe, caring and high quality care that we strive for every day. Thank you also for the special mention of the ladies serving tea and snacks on the ward, I know delighted they will all be. Hazel the nutritional assistant has made such an impact since starting in her special role a number of years ago. Can I say that we feel lucky to be working in the North East too - we have kind and considerate patients like yourself who take the time to give us feedback, all of which helps us to continuously improve as an organisation. I do hope that you are recovering well now that you are home. Take great care of yourself, Annie
