"Mixed Experiences"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

I've visited the department on a few occasions now and have found the nursing staff to be friendly and to explain things fully. I would second the long waits but I don't really mind so long as we get to see all the necessary professionals. Sadly the administration staff taint my impression. I appreciate that they work under pressure but respect and courtesy should be standard customer service and that has not been my experience to date. My most recent contact has lead me to finally comment. Please advise the administration staff that not every DNA is down to disinterested patients and that sometimes people are have unexpected difficulties making their appointment, for example in my case a pregnancy loss. Perhaps they could ask before they give you attitude! I fully appreciate that DNA's are a problem for all hospital departments but it was short sighted to pre-judge why it might have occurred.
