I hurt my neck and called NHS Direct. They recommended that I went to A&E for an X-ray. However, it was Saturday evening and I decided not to go as it was very busy (I called to find out). I went on Sunday morning, and despite it now being busy, I had to wait 3 and a half hours.
The staff were very friendly, although the X-ray department didn't inform me of the delay until I asked them: there was a query with the X-rays requested by the A&E doctor.
The doctor then explained what I had done to my neck and recommended strong pain killers.
