"Leighton is an outstanding hospital"

I cannot speak too highly of the care, respect, attention and surgical intervention by Leighton Hospital. In July I was admitted with an illness which was immediately brought under control, but because of the thoroughness of their medical regime, I was found to have a more serious problem. Within 8 weeks, this was diagnosed, discussed, double checked and operated on. The consultant and his team are like reassuring magicians. I placed my trust in them and they have worked wonders. Unfortunately, my recovery was upset by a chest infection and I was moved to the new Critical Care Unit. Again, the care and attention I received was outstanding. The nursing team are amazingly dedicated and the dignity, respect and humour with which I was nursed was phenomenal. All my friends thought I was sent home too early but it is testimony to this team that I was more than ready to go. I have carried on my recovery at home, following the superb discharge information I was given. While I wouldn't want to have a return visit, I would be more than happy to trust my physical well being to Leighton in the future.
