"Physiotherapist - a brilliant job"

About: St Lukes Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I broke and dislocated my shoulder in a cycling accident and was referred for physio under the care of Claire Wingate. I am delighted to say I was treated with such care, compassion, respect and expertise that I felt it was important I publicly thank Claire this way.

The treatment was highly effective as I have now (nearly) completely recovered and Claire used a number of options available to improve my shoulder including hydrotherapy which was beneficial. I was always appropriately welcomed and was provided time to ask questions and the session was always on time.

We only get to hear things that go wrong with the NHS and politicians often, at the behest of media, make silly changes that don't realise there are many thousand staff members like Claire who do a brilliant job everyday but don't get noticed

Firstly, I would like to apologise for not posting a reply sooner. This is heart-warming feedback, and will be shared with Claire and the physiotherapy team, who I am sure, will feel very proud. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback.
