"Upset about jaw surgery being cancelled"

After waiting over 3 months for jaw surgery, I had my appointment scheduled for 15th April. I have now been told this has been cancelled. This is not because the surgeon or a bed is not available. It’s because the technician is off sick for 1 month. I can’t believe there is a 1 point of failure. I have been told all patients for April have been cancelled, including private patients. I am so shocked and upset. I was scheduled to have this at Surrey Hospital, and I am getting Married in August. I’m going to just have to wait, unless anyone has some suggestions. Has anyone experience anything familiar? This is my first and last experience with the NHS.
