I went to NNUH for a routine 12 week scan but sadly my baby had died. The Sonographer was very comforting and called for a second opinion which unfortunately clarified what we had already been told. I was then moved to Cley ward where Clare came and talked to me and took my blood before a female Consultant came and talked me through my options. I needed an operation to sort things out and Clare booked me back in for the day after next as she would be on this shift.
On the day of the operation I was given a side room so that I didn't have to sit on the ward and was told that if I stayed over I could have someone with me. Luckily I had the operation and was discharged the same day. Dr Luke Gardner saw me the morning of my operation and answered any questions and gave me advice. He was very knowledgable and made me feel very reassured and nothing was too much trouble.
The staff on both days were very kind and warm and gentle and made a horrible situation bearable and I want to thank them for their support. I especially wish to thank the ward sister Clare, the nurse Amy, the healthcare assistant Courteney and the Dr Luke.
"Excellent treatment I received at hospital"
