I arrived at the hospital at 10: 50 (25 minutes early) for my 11: 15 appointment with Respiratory. I signed in at Out Patients and was asked to go for a breathing test. When I returned to Out Patients for the next step of my appointment (at 11: 25) I was told the consultant had already gone as he had a clinic elsewhere and had to allow time to get to it.
I have already waited months for this appointment and told the earliest will now be December.
If I had been in with the consultant at my appointed time would he have left half way through?
Was the breathing test even necessary given I'd been in a spirometry test just a couple of months earlier?
Why was no mention of this 'required' test made in the letter. Perhaps suggesting I arrived earlier?
" Appointment cancelled while I was in the hospital"
