My husband was referred to RAMAC on 17th Sept 2014 by our GP, suffering from double vision, dropped eye lid and blinding headaches. After a CT scan he required an MR I scan which was booked for the following Monday. After the MRI scan we were called back to discuss the results with the consultant. On both occasions both after the CT and MRI scans the consultant spent some considerable time with my husband and I discussing all the possible outcomes. At what was a very distressing time for us both he answered all our questions, and indeed picked up on what the possible cause was even though it was a rare situation. My husband was admitted to the hospital and then transferred to the RVI where he undertook an operation and is now recovering at home. We wish to thank the consultant and his team for the excellent treatment we received at RAMAC as although the unit was busy at all times all the staff ensured that the patients and their families were cared for at all times.
