"I would rather try to do the exercises myself than feel demoralised by this person"

About: Northern General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a fall while out walking and hurt my shoulder. The A&E were very good so were the xray dep and my visits to the consultant were ok. I was referred to the physiotherapy dept and he was offhand, pulled faces when I explained how much pain I am in. He said oh well at least you don't have to do the house work. I pointed out that I enjoy doing house work.

Later when he was explaining the exercises to me he said oh well you said you like house work, get the polishing done and demonstrated a circular polishing motion. To say I am upset is an understatement and will not be going for my appointment. I would rather try to do the exercises myself than feel demoralised by this person
