"Exemplary compassionate maternity care"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

My wife was quite terrified of giving birth and the staff at the Pembury Labour ward from the midwifes in ante natal through to our delivery midwives, the obstetrics team and surgical team and post natal made every effort to reassure her and be there for her. Whilst the labour did become prolonged and eventually had to be delivered by c section we felt reassured both that the staff would be there for us and held our well-being uppermost. The support, guidance and caring we received from these wonderful people was first class. Every time we had a question it was explained, every time we pushed a buzzer or requested help it was there in seconds. The hospital itself is first class, single rooms, spacious, modern, tidy with cleaners seemingly working 24/7. All in all, it's the only place we would consider if we have to deliver another child as I don't think we would have gotten better care anywhere else in the world. (PS every member of staff who helped us was brilliant, from the surgical team who carried out the c section, to the anaesthetists who did the epidural, to all the midwives who were always there for everything)

Thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback of your experience surrounding the birth of your baby.

Please accept our apologies for the delay in acknowledging receipt.

We were very pleased to learn that your wife was well supported at a worrying time.

Kind regards, The PALS Team.
