"The Staff eased my fear."

I Attended the Victoria Unit yesterday, & cannot express enough, just how lovely& friendly the staff were. Especially the staff radiologist who took my mammogram. I was absolutely terrified of the thought of having the mammogram, as despite having had four previously, in various different locations throughout Rochdale, over the years (3 being slightly uncomfortable due to my breast cysts, the 4th one was very painful that i had done in Nye Bevam House) The Radiologist, was brilliant. She talked me through it, step by step, put me at ease, took her time, & gently& slowly lowered the plates down on to my breasts. The even manually tightened them herself. I cannot believe how easy it was, despite suffering from very painful breasts.I was so relieved when it was quickly over with, i threw my arms around her gave her a big hug, with tears in my eyes. I know i sound dramatic, but believe me, i was so terrified, as my breasts are very painful & my previous mammogram was horrendous. I wouldn't hesitate having it done again by jean at The Victoria Suite, at Oldham Hospital. The ultrasound scan & breast examination was performed by friendly & caring staff too. I would recommend The Victoria Suite to everyone, every time. Thank you very much.
