A&E quite poor - lack of communication and attention to very low blood pressure that required fluids - not given till three hours later. No communication unless we pushed Transferred to ward at 4.00 am. Choices explained to parent at ward round later that day, when very tired and only heard that they would 'die' no matter what they decided. Waited for 'team' seen by consultant who made it clear they had 'dropped everything to see us', they explained options again with family. Since then no communication with NOK and main carer, As no treatment available except plaster parent wishes to return home. Hospital pushing for care home. This is not an option for them. Hygiene not great amongst some staff, not cleaning hands in between patients. Poor communication unless you push, or ask the right questions. Not a good thing to be an older person on QAH.
