"Memory Assessment Service and Physiotherapy Referral"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Mental Health Services for Older People – Community (County) Specialist Nursing Services

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

The service within the Memory Assessment Service was very good. From the Memory Assessment Service we were referred to the Physiotherapy Service.

The Physiotherapist came and did a home assessment, the family were unable to attend at this time due to work commitments.

Following the assessment the family reeived no feedback, either verbal or wrtiten and were unaware of the decision on the physiotherapy care plan.

We feel bemused by this and disappointed that we were not told anything.

Apart from that we have been very satisfied with the service.

Thank you for your positive comments about the Memory Assessment Service. I am sorry that your experience with regards to receiving feedback from the Physiotherapist was disappointing; however I understand that the Physiotherapist has been in touch and is planning another visit. I hope that this has provided you with the feedback you needed. We understand that communication is really important and we hope to improve this aspect for the future.
