I went into the Wrightington for a full knee replacement in October 2007.
I needed a washout 3 weeks later. Then I was told i had an MRSA infection. After an extremely painful year I went in again in October 2008 for part one of a revision procedure.
During this operation my leg became paralysed below the knee. I was told in early March that I would be referred to another surgeon at the Wrightington. When I rang the hospital at the end of March the letter had not arrived with the second surgeon.
I am extremely unhappy: I am so handicapped I can't even leave the house without help. There is such a delay in getting me an appointment with the second surgeon. I have contacted PALS and rung various secretaries on several occasions.
Why can't I be treated with some respect for my situation? It's been going on for 18 months.
