Disgraceful treatment of my 93 year old mother who was sent an appointment for Fordbridge Medical Centre, only to be told when she arrived that the appointment had been cancelled. No effort was made to inform her beforehand. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful and she was told that this appointment should be at the hospital. On phoning the hospital, she again received no explanation and was summarily dismissed and told a further appointment would arrive in the post. Dignity for the elderly? I think not. Ashford Hospital should re-evaluate their Mission Statement.
