My teenage son was treated at A&E at Worcester hospital on a busy Saturday recently. Firstly the care from the two paramedics that treated him when he was hit by a hockey ball at Worcester university was incredible. They straight away put my son at ease and realised that he needed immediate pain relief. They continued to reassure both my son and I all the way to hospital, always explaining what they were doing and why.
A&E was extremely busy and yes we ended up being there nearly 4 hours but the nurse, doctor (heavily pregnant), porter and x-ray staff all dealt with us as though we were the first people they had seen that day. They all equally showed a great deal of care and compassion. They should all be very proud of what they do as this is by far the best experience we have received at an A&E department before and we have had a few visits to our local hospital as our boys have always played a lot of sports! Well done Worcester.
