I went to the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in October 2014. The facilities are wonderful, it's modern and clean and I didn't have to wait too long. The examination I was given was very thorough. I couldn't have asked for more!
When I was leaving the hospital a lovely lady at the front desk saw that I was having problems with my vision and offered to ring a taxi for me. it arrived 3 minutes later and she guided me to the exit and helped me into the taxi, all with a smile. It was such a pleasant experience.
Going back to the Heart Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital after the excellent care at the Eye Hospital makes Wythenshawe feel like a third world facility. There's no parking and no facilities for someone with a disability.
