"Excellent service for colonoscopy"

I attended the Endoscopy Unit at St Helens Hospital on the morning of Friday, 26 September, for a colonoscopy. I was very nervous indeed prior to the procedure and had been dreading the examination for days .However, I had no need to worry as the procedure was carried out so carefully and painlessly. Staff worked hard to put me at my ease both during, before and after the examination. I found the staff to be lovely - very efficient and caring - and they also explained to me how I would need to take care of myself upon returning home to make sure that I did not suffer any after-effects as a result of the anaesthetic that I had been given. The hospital was so spotlessly clean and cheerful too and I would have no hesitation in recommending both the Endoscopy Unit and St Helens Hospital as a whole to other prospective patients.
