"Loss of sight in one eye"

About: East Surrey Hospital

On phoning East Surrey Hospital and explaining my situation I was put thought to right department, after asking me what had happened they spoke to the consultant who said to get to the Hospital as quick as possible and he would wait for me even though he had finished his shift, it took me 45 minutes to get there as I live in East Grinstead and had to go by taxi. After arriving I was seen very quickly by one eye doctor and informed I would need an operation ASAP and then seen by the consultant who said that the operation needed to be done quickly and he would fit me in the next morning and to be at the hospital by 8:30am. On arriving at the Hospital I was taken straight in the preperation room and after the pre operation procredger I was taken straight in for the operation, and then was explained to me exactly what was going to happen. I found all the staff, Nurses, Doctors and Consultants very friendly and professional and would like to thank them all. John Howell
