"Daughter had a bend in her bone and small fracture"

On going to the minor injuries unit we were asked to fill a form out by a man who had a rather miserable attitude. The nurse we saw that day was pleasant however it did seem like they both thought that we were wasting there time. The nurse checked my daughters foot and told her to go home and keep it elevated that she did not think that she had broken anything, and if it did not improve to go back in 24 / 48 hours as they do not like to give x-rays to children straight away (something i have never herd of before). She said that if we took her in on the saturday they would call a radiographer out to do the x-ray (which i thought to be a complete waste of money to the NHS) My daughter was not offered crutches or anything to aid her walking! she could not properly weight bare on her foot it was very difficult for her to walk as she was in agony with it. 26 hours later my daughters foot was hurting her even more she was in complete agony i rang and spoke to the minor injury unit and i spoke to a very nice polite nurse who told me to bring her in and said when asked that a radiographer was on site. We were there 3 hours! On attending the unit I found one of the nurses to be very rude!! She had a really bad attitude towards myself and my daughter. I think she thought that we were wasting her time! my daughter had no bruising and little swelling to her foot, but could hardly walk on it and she was in agony especially when it was touched. I had put a slack tubigrip bandage over her foot and the nurse complained that it was all wrong and that i should not have put it on and was also complaining that she had had it elevated and that she should be exercising it and not resting it. She just kept saying its all wrong and you should'nt have done that its all wrong! She then very begrudgingly agreed to send her for an x-ray! On receipt of the x-ray the nurse had completely changed her attitude towards ourselves and came out very pleasant, my daughter had abnormalities to the bone and swelling. She then put a plastic splint/boot on her leg and she told her to rest it. We were given an appointment to go to the fracture clinic at Hull Royal Infirmary 4 days after her injury! On arrival at the fracture clinic we were told my daughter had a bend in her bone with a small fracture. That she should of had a full plaster on but as she had managed with the boot she could carry on with that. I think that the nurses attitude at the Alfred Bean Hospital is disgraceful i unfortunately do not know her name or i would make a formal complaint to the hospital.
