"Outstanding"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

I was told I needed a lung biopsy and referred to Wythenshawe, which is not local and I was therefore apprehensive. From my first visit to pre-op assessment right through to my operation and discharge I found all the staff reassuring and helpful. The theatre staff, consultants, nursing staff and porters I found to be friendly and helpful. The one thing I was really worried about was post-op infection (as a family, we have had bad experiences with other hospitals re this) but I needn't have worried on that score. The building is immaculate and staff are constantly cleaning, washing and using antibacterial gel. The whole experience was positive and I would not hesitate to recommend this hospital to anyone. Many thanks to all the staff especially F2 and theatre staff who were so reassuring and calming!
