"Upon visiting the Ante Natal Clinic ..."

About: Darent Valley Hospital

(as the patient),

What could be improved

Upon visiting the Ante Natal Clinic numerous time, the time in which you wait to be seen is unacceptable, normally an hour after scheduled appointment time. No notice given by staff that clinic is running late. In addiitional no allowance made to car parking costs due to clinic running behind, atleast they could do is tell so you can go and get a drink or something to eat, instead of sitting in an uncomfortable waiting room, heavily preganant.

We apologies for any inconvenience the delay in clinic caused you. We do endeavour to alert mothers of any possible delay via the use of a notice board and suggest going for refreshments whenever possible. Unfortunately sometimes clinics do overrun for a number of reasons, but we will make every effort to ensure that women are kept advised of any delays in future through the continued use of the notice board.
