"They don’t listen."

About: Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I’m diabetic and so have to use a lot of health services. At my GP Surgery, Seymour Grove, I find the administration staff I have dealt with rude, not always respectful, and ineffective at times. I’ve had some quite heated discussions with the staff but now the shutters have gone down with them. They don’t listen.

I’ve gone in for appointments wearing different dress (sometimes Western and sometimes Asian) and have found that you get treated differently according to what you wear.

Other issues with them are:

• Waiting times of about 3 weeks for an appointment

• Mismanagement of prescriptions

• Home visit for my Dad was arranged but the GP didn’t turn up. There are obviously some administration errors there.

I do think the GPs there are good when they have a mind to listen.
