About: Community physiotherapy / Dereham physiotherapy clinic

(as the patient),

I had a demanding time at home & work which continued for some weeks. I injured myself at home by twisting my arm & torso, as I was cleaning. I immediately had pain down by chest, back and arms. The doctor recommended rest. After 1 month I tried to pick up my normal life. I still felt I should have been more comfortable so was offered an x ray, this showed no concerns.

I followed advise to keep active and think of my posture, but had to consult GP again he referred me to physiotherapy services.

The physiotherapists have been amazing, really skilled and very informative, educating me to do exercise and improve and manage my weaken joint and muscle in my back.

One thing that could be improved are that the units do not feel that private.

Thank you for taking the time to provide an opinion of the treatment you received by my physio staff at Dereham. I will share this with my team. I'm delighted your experience was so positive. It's always very uplifting to receive gratitude from our patients.

The Estates manager is aware of the issue of privacy within the department.

Good Morning and may I also take this oppourtunity to thank you for your comments regarding your experience at Dereham Physio. I am part of the Patient Experience Team and we are looking to run a Out-Patient Physiotherapy and Ocupational Therapy Focus Group. The Focus Group will take place at Norfolk Community Hospital, Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, NR2 3TU in the Puffin Room on Thursday 5th February 2015 starting at 10.30am until 12.30. We will provide refreshments, car parking and reimburse your travel expenses.

As a recent patient of one of these services and someone who has taken the time to comment on these we greatly value your opinions and ideas, which can help to shape our service improvement.

If you would like to take part please could you respond to this message, if you are unable to attend but have any suggestions/comments regarding the service we would like to hear from you and would like to thank you for taking the time to read this.

I would like to update you on the privacy issue in the Dereham MSK Outpatient Department.We have arranged to trial some sound reducing divides between our treatment areas.If successful these will replace our curtains.If these do not prove sufficient in improving privacy we will create one or two private clinical areas.Improvement work is due to start this month.Thank you again for your comments
