"medway maternity joke"

My story starts on 2nd of October 2014. My partner has come for a growth scan as baby has slowed in growth or stopped at week 37. A scan was carried out and then referrd to mcu for a doctor to read the results of the scan to my partner, he said that the Doppler scan had shown that the placenta was in bad condition and said he was not happy and wanted to induce labour, so that baby had a better chance at a normal birth ... at which point I asked him if I had time to take my eldest daughter home to arrange child care so I could be with my partner for the labour etc, he said yes get off and come back. We live in sheerness. So. off I go with my child leaving my partner in the mcu. I returned an hour later to be told there was no beds go home and to wait for a call tomorrow at 10 in the morning for a bed. Half 12 next morning on the 2rd, I told my partner to call and see whats happening as we herd nothing. She called only to be told they had no knowledge of us, so we were told to come over for booking in. so resort the child care, another day off work etc, back at mcu at half 2 that afternoon. No beds again were told to go home. At this point I refused and put my foot down and said this was not fair on us, as well as risking a normal labour. Seems they wanted to see a decline in my babys health before they would admit us and start her of with hormone treatment. I said that was backward thinking and your putting my babies health at risk and demanded to see the ward manager. With that were were admitted to the labour ward in a side room at about 7 in the evening. The pesory was put in at 10 oclock this evening and we are still sat in the same side room with no facilities at all. I've asked if we will be put on pearl ward to be told no beds and not a good chance of being moved, ie were here for the duration. Now my partner is ok, she has a bed, but thats it. For me I have the luxury of sitting in a high chair all night. As this is going to take hours to work so no doubt ill be exhausted by the time her labour kicks in, having spent all night on a chair with no tea facilities or a tv to watch ... there is nothing here !! It's now half 12 at night and still looking at 4 walls, not cricket. I shall continue this review in the morning any member of staff that may be reading this be warned I shall be making massive complaints about our treatment, this is supposed to be a good time.
