Sadly my opinion on ambulance personnel changed this week and not for the better.
My 89 year old mother who is blind and very hard of hearing was taken to A & E this week with breathing problems and after 7 hours the wonderful staff and consultant were happy for her to go back to her care home with any necessary medication. As she has only been blind for a short time she does not do well staying in hospital. She is very scared of any noises and being touched without warning she will scream and disturb the other patients. She was fine until the next day when her condition recurred and an ambulance was called and happened to be the same team. The looks they gave me and the silence I met from them because she had come home was very upsetting. Maybe they should put themselves in her shoes before they judge.
