My mother at the age of 55 and dying from cancer was admitted to Blackpool Victoria Hopsital early last year.
She was put on a ward so short of staff, that she felt she was imposing on them to assist her to the toilet or onto the commode as she couldn't use a bed pan. Therefore she didn't leave her bed to go, and sometimes wasn't seen to for hours at a time.
This information has only just come to light. It was held from me as i work there, and I would have caused quite a scene if i'd known about it at the time.
