The staff at the Maternity wing in Kingston Hospital were instrumental in making sure my wife and I had a healthy, beautiful baby baby boy under potentially difficult circumstances. Our baby was born in the early hours of the 25th of september 2014, through crash (emergency) C section due to a prolapsed chord. I (Dad) was overseas at the time as the baby came a little earlier than planned and The Senior Nurse (Midwife?) took the trouble to phone me and skype to enable me to see my new born boy and reassure after the procedure was completed. Best Skype call ever! Whilst we were in contact with the consultant in charge, We never got to thank personally the theatre team and most especially the nurse/midwife of the operation, due to the ensuing rigmarole of being new parents and hope this goes some way to reaching them with our heartfelt thanks. Our subsequent care in the neo natal and transitional care wards was exemplary, with staff showing a depth of compassion of professionalism that leaves me in awe. Thank you. Just thank you. Ruth, Dan and Baby Finn
