"Broken ankle"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

After falling and breaking my ankle, i was told by staff on reception in A and E, to " Walk down to urgent care and i would be seen there". This was after i told them i could'nt stand on my foot as it was way too painful and swollen up .They told me to wait then and a porter would be called, with a wheelchair to take me. The porter did nothing else but moan about having to push me to urgent care down the road, and at 1 point my boyfriend took over. Very unprofessional, as the nurse behind reception in A and E was eating some sort of snack and had a couldnt be bothered attitude. However staff inn urgent care couldn't have been better, friendly, caring, knew what they were doing.. I was in a cast for 6 weeks and my ankle was broken, who knows what would have happened if i walked on it,like they told me to. At arrival in A and E it was empty in the waiting area.
