"Top class treatment and to my mind a miracle"

My 94 year old mum fell and broke her hip and was operated on to have a half hip replacement. All her treatment from the A & E to the 2 wards she was on was wonderful. I was amazed that she was able to have her operation at all, as she has heart problems but they did it as routine and 2 months later she is back home and walking about happily. I would love to thank the surgeon who I never met but he did a wonderful job. The staff in the A & E were marvelous, they did a great job and were really reassuring. My mother spent week 1 on D1 and wk 2 on M4. All the staff were again fantastic, very caring, spent the time to explain things, treated my mum with dignity and did the best they could. I don't think we would have received better care going private. Maybe some fancy trimmings but the real care that was needed was given and I just can't thank them enough.
