"maternity care at Wythenshawe"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

My daughter was admitted to the ante natal ward on 25th of August 2014 with a bleed, she was placenta previa grade 4. The care she received on C3 during the 3 weeks she was there was exceptional. She went home for a few days and was admitted for an elective c/s and had a lovely baby boy on 26th September. She was extremely unwell afterwards, losing 4 litres of blood. The surgeon and all the medical and nursing staff on C1 critical care were amazing and we and her partner are quite sure they saved her life. Thanks to all the staff on C2 for taking care of her afterwards. You are all amazing!

Many thanks for taking the time to post your comments on the NHS choices website and congratulations on the birth of your grandson. I am glad to hear that, despite your daughter being so ill following the birth of her son, she received such good care and I have passed your comments to those involved. I hope that your daughter is now feeling much better. Kind regards Patient Experience Manager
