"My time in the delivery suite and aftercare"

I was booked in William Harvery Hospital for an induction recently which I attended only to be told there was more risk & would be better going down for a cesarean, I agreed and went on my way to return later on in the next again week.

On my arrival I was told I was there for an induction but had to be turned away as they were busy and await a phonecall from them to go back in.

My partner rang around midday as we hadnt heard anything and they said to go back anytime. we went back ready for induction to take place which happened later that day in the afternoon.

By this point I was very distressed and upset as id been told so many things. The midwife I had the week before was absolutely shocking I feel with her choice of words and her whole approach.

I felt so crap that I literally went all day without asking for her but it got to a point my partner said he had to get her as things were starting to happen and fast.

She then moved us from induction room into a delivery room where I told her I needed to push. She checked and I was a certain number of cm so she broke my waters and with in a matter of half hour my baby was born.

I needed some stitching so she went off and 2 lovely woman came in and my care was fantastic and I felt at ease.

I was able to see my other children before my move to Folkestone Ward.

Once over the other side, I wasn't greated by anyone and the 1st person I saw was the drug lady who didn't even know who I was. I was then left and eventually rang the buzzer for a nurse as I was having trouble breast feeding and she said she'd help, needless to say she didnt return as she said she would. I then rang again as I tried my baby with a bottle and my baby wasn't taking it so she tried and decided shed get the baby doctor to have a look. She came and took some mucus from her and she started to take a bit to the bottle.

I then didnt see anyone until I was being let home.

My time in labour ward and the aftercare was one id like to forget during my induction I had bloods taken which im still to know the results of.

I would not recommend anyone to have their baby there its absolutely appalling I feel the way they care for woman there and id hate for someone else to have the same experience
