This service is a complete waste of nhs budget and should be removed. I was denied seeing MSK at freeman because pain management do more apparently. Then they go and give me leaflets from MSK but with no furthering of what msk do. Staff are at a loss when posed with questions or they can't pigeon hole people. Been offered tens machine 3 times ... Pretence of caring is shown through this being another rung on their ladder. Still not got a decent plan in place or anything helping me manage my pain. Definitely not equipped to deal or fit around people who work. Save some money and get rid of it most could be put in self help fact sheets. I bet the tvi dont reply.

We are very sorry that you found the Pain Management service at the Royal Victoria Infirmary unsatisfactory. Many patients are referred to the specialist pain team from other speciality services for the expertise and success the team has in addressing patient needs. We offer a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management with input and information from a range of sources, including musculoskeletal services, as we offer a tailored pain management service for each patient and in order to best meet those variable needs we will use a wide range of information. We would also like to offer our apologies if you feel that you still do not have a suitable management plan in place and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this directly with you to see how we may be able to better meet your needs moving forward.
