"Emergency department"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

My husband arrived by ambulance blues and two.I thought he had a stroke.60 never been ill a day in his life. I was taken into a first class private waiting room. I don't remember much of the day all staff from ambulance staff to ITU were tremendous. The poor doctor in majors tried to explain to me with my children what had happened, that poor man,I could not accept what he was saying. They took my husband to ITU and I don't remember going up there but we had a private lounge that was remarkable,my darling who I have been married to for 44 years 17 and pregnant, was on life support and technically dead. I asked if I could get in bed with him and cuddle him while they turned off the machines and removed all drips wires Tec,nothing was to much trouble, all staff were fantastic and my Rob was treated with dignity at all times,I could lay there as long as I wanted to. They were all fantastic, and we as a family were treated like family, the care and compassion shown to us was second to none. Although I had to leave my heart there I can never thank them enough for the way they fought to try and save my love.
